Milke danda trek is renowned for its breathtaking vistas of Mount Everest, Mount Kanchenjunga, Mount Kumbhakarna, Mount Makalu, etc. The trek’s main draw is the environmental, cultural, and geographic diversity of the region. In the spring, the terrain is heavily vegetated with uncommon alpine plants and a stunning Rhododendron forest. This tea house trip is organized by Makalu Arun Social trek (MAST) from Tumlingtar or Khandbari. Khandbari – Wana – Chainpur – Pokhari – Nundhaki hamlet – Gopha Pokhari all the way to Milke Danga. The hikers then return via Gupha Pokhari – Chauki and ultimately arrive at Basantapur.

The Best time for Milke Danda Trek

The best seasons for hiking in Nepal are spring, which includes the months of March, April, and May, and fall, which includes September, October, and November. The spring season offers nearly ideal weather conditions for hiking. The sunset is minimal. Furthermore, the wind is relatively gentle. The levels of precipitation are also insufficient. The environmental conditions in Milke Danda make a spring walk there truly astonishing. The rhododendron forests are particularly vibrant in the spring, displaying a stunning red hue. Walking through these forests in the spring will be a truly magnificent experience.

Besides spring, autumn is also an excellent season to complete the Milke Danda Walk. The climate closely resembles that of spring. In October, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the stunning and captivating views of rhododendrons.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Nepal.:

When you arrive at Tibhuvan International Airport, our guide will pick you up and take you to your hotel in the bustling Thamel district of Kathmandu. Depending on your arrival time, you can choose to relax for the next journey, see the city’s attractions, or shop for adventure gear in one of Kathmandu’s many adventure supply stores. We’ll assemble our bikes and be ready for the journey in the afternoon.

Day 2 - Kathmandu to Khandbari.:

Flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar airport (30 minutes). Reception and greeting by a MAST staff member at the airport. Take a vehicle for 15 minutes to reach a hotel room in Khandbari, where you can rest. If you have time, you can visit the Khandbari bazaar, the Khandbari Child Welfare Home, etc. Meet your porter guide at the MAST office in Khandbari, introduce yourself, and discuss and organize your journey. Spend the night in a hotel or homestay in Khandbari.

Day 3 - Travel from Khandbari to Chainpur and then trek to Pokhari.:

After having breakfast at the hotel in Khandbari at 7 a.m., take a regular bus for two hours to reach Chainpur. After having lunch at a motel in Chainpur, trek for around two hours to reach the little bazaar of Pokhari. Find one of the finest tea houses to spend the night in. Explore Pokhari village and take pleasure in exploring and photographing the area.

Day 4 - Nundhaki Trek.:

At 8 a.m. today, grab breakfast at the teahouse and then begin your trip. Four to six hours of hiking will bring you to Nundhaki. Find one of the finest teahouses for your food and lodging there.

Day 5 - Gupha Pokhari (2900m).:

After breakfast at 8 a.m. at the tea house in Nundhaki, you will walk for four to six hours to Gupha Pokhari. Find one of the area’s finest tea houses for food and lodging.

Day 6 - Gupha Pokhari Exploration day.:

This is your day of Gupha Pokhari exploring. The teahouse in Gupha Pokhari provides meals and lodging.

Day 7 - Milke Danda (3690 m) Day of exploration.:

This is the next key day as you approach your final destination. Admire the magnificent rhododendron scene along the Milke Danda. There is a tea house in Gupha Pokhgari where you can spend the night.

Day 8 - Chauki (2,700m).:

After breakfast at 8 a.m. at the Gupha Pokhari teahouse, climb to Chauki (4-6 hours trekking). Admire the lovely scene of rhododendrons glistening there. Find one of the finest tea houses in Chauki to spend the night.

Day 9 - Basantapur (2,200m).:

At 8 am, after breakfast at the tea house, climb to Basantapur (4-6 hours trekking). Farewell to your porter guide. Find one of the area’s finest hotels for meals and lodging. Explore Basantapur and photograph these locations.

Day 10 - Basantapur to Kathmandu.:

Find a day Microbus early in the morning and take it to Kathmandu through Dharan Itahari, Bardebas, and Sinduli; arrive in Kathmandu in the evening.

Day 11 - Departure from Nepal.:

Today we will take you to the airport to catch your flight out of Nepal. Alternatively, if you’d like to stay longer, we may make additional travel arrangements to assist you continue your Nepal experience.
