Nepal Trekking for Seniors
We organize Nepal trekking for seniors, and we are one of the leading and specialized local trekking agencies in Nepal for senior-friendly treks. Many of the senior citizens unnecessarily limit their trekking plan because of the age factor, believing that above 60 it would be impossible to trek in Nepal. However, there are numerous trekking options available in Nepal that are suitable for trekkers of all ages. While our bodies definitely change with age, it does not mean we should give up on the goal of trekking in Nepal. There are several low-altitude hikes below 4000 meters, which are absolutely appropriate for senior citizens and present a couple of great mountain views, stunning landscapes, quaint villages, and glimpses into the culture of the locals.
We recommend shorter treks that remain below 4,000 meters for seniors who have never gone trekking. For regular trekkers, most of the regular treks in Nepal are doable with an extra two to three days’ traveling. Actually, we have a lot of seniors who completed the Everest Base Camp Trek with us. However, we highly recommend low-altitude treks as those over 4000 meters are steep and can be hard on knees and joints.
Our Nepal trekking for seniors is planned in such a way that older people can fulfill all expectations and demands. The treks are designed keeping in mind the physical limitations and comfort needs one would face during the adventure. Here’s a list of some of the best recommended trekking destinations for seniors:
