The Best time for Mardi Himal Trek

The best time to undertake the Mardi Himal Trek is during the pre-monsoon spring season (March to May) and the post-monsoon autumn season (September to November). These months offer the most favorable weather and trekking conditions for a successful and enjoyable trek. Both spring and autumn offer excellent trekking conditions, and your choice between the two depends on your preferences. Spring is known for its vibrant flora, lush landscapes, and blooming flowers, while autumn provides clear skies, pleasant temperatures, and excellent photography opportunities. Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Nepal.:

When you arrive at Tibhuvan International Airport, our guide will pick you up and take you to your hotel in the bustling Thamel district of Kathmandu. Depending on your arrival time, you can choose to relax for the next journey, see the city’s attractions, or shop for adventure gear in one of Kathmandu’s many adventure supply stores. We’ll assemble our bikes and be ready for the journey in the afternoon.

Day 2 - Travel to Pokhara.:

After breakfast drive for Pokhara, takes about 6 hours by road. The beautiful scenery will make our drive interesting. Arrive in Pokhara, hotel check-in and then you will be free for your own activities. Evening, you will be taken for an hour boating trip on the Nepal’s Largest Fewa Lake.

Day 3 - Pokhara drive to Hyangja - Trek to Dhampus (1,750 m).:

The first day of our Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek has arrived. The day will begin with a trip to Hyangja, from whence we will embark on a trail to Dhampus, where we will spend our first night in the mountains. On a pleasant trail, we ascend the ridge above the Yangri Khola valley and hike through the crops and huts of the locals, which offers excellent hiking opportunities. From Dhampus, the view of the Annapurna Himalayan Range is really stunning.

Day 4 - Trek to Forest Camp (2,550m).:

Early in the morning, the rising sun reveals breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains. Numerous peaks, including Annapurna I, Machhapuchre (Fish Tail), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli, are visible at daybreak. On a relatively less traveled route, we then depart for Forest Camp, leaving the mob behind. The trail is one of the recently discovered hiking routes in the Himalayas of Nepal that is still able to avoid the crowds of tourists. We journey through a forest of Rhododendron, maple, mountain oak, and daphnia that captivates us.

Day 5 - Trek to Badal Danda (3,200m).:

We shall resume our hike towards Badal Danda after breakfast. After lunch at Low Camp, the vegetation will change as we climb higher, and mosses and lichen will replace rhododendron forests on the trail today. The view of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli is nothing short of breathtaking. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Low Camp, where we will spend the night.

Day 6 - Trek to High Camp (3,550m).:

We awaken to an amazing vista of Fishtail Mountain, Annapurna South, and Hiuchuli. Today is a short day and an acclimatization day. After breakfast, we start our ascent to High Camp. We shall take it easy today as we will be at a greater altitude. High camp will be reached for lunch. You can tour the top camp after lunch and witness a magnificent sunset.

Today is the culmination of the journey. We will rise early to watch the sunrise above the Himalayas, where the first rays of the light transform the snow into gold. We will walk up to Mardi Himal Base Camp after breakfast. The trail is predominantly grass-covered with some steep sections. On the road to Base Camp, we will pass a number of herders’ flocks, as during the summer sheep and goats are brought up from lower communities to graze. We will get a panoramic view of the Annapurna Himalaya range, including the south face of the great Annapurna, from base camp, which we will reach in two to three hours. After spending time at the Mardi Base Camp, return to the High Camp.

Day 8 - Trek to Low camp (3,000 m).:

After witnessing and capturing the amazing view we will descend back to High Camp for our breakfast. After breakfast we will leave for Low Camp. We will trek on the same trail we used to go up. We will have lunch at Badal Danda and head towards Low Camp to spend the night.

Day 9 - Trek to Lumre, then drive to Pokhara.:

The last day of our hiking trip is today. After breakfast in Low, we start hiking to Lumre through the village of Siding, where we’ll have lunch for the day. Up to Siding, the trail went mostly downhill through a dense forest. After lunch, we keep walking until we reach Lumre. From there, we drive to Pokhara.

Day 10 - Travel back to Kathmandu.:

After enjoying the natural and cultural beauty of Pokhara, we start driving to Kathmandu. We finally get to Kathmandu after about 6-7 hours. We can either take a break or go see the sights in the capital city.

Day 11 - Departure from Nepal.:

Today we will take you to the airport to catch your flight out of Nepal. Alternatively, if you’d like to stay longer, we may make additional travel arrangements to assist you continue your Nepal experience.
